The initial business relationship with Mr. Serni has now developed into a friendship. The high quality standards are the driving force for the Serni family and his son to produce only the best oil with every harvest.
The Olio is greenish in the bottle with golden yellow reflections. On the nose, the olio has a very pleasant and intense aroma. On the palate, the oil is deliciously fruity: notes of grass, tomato and artichoke, but also almond. The flavor level can be described as mild - intense on the medium level.
In the kitchen, olive oil can be used for all recipes. In the cold kitchen for salads, marinades for starters or fish and meat. In the hot kitchen for steaming, braising and frying. In connection with its use, it is important to note that Olio di Oliva tolerates heat well, for example when frying.
Tuscan-style garlic bread: toast slices of white bread from a baguette or twist bread over an open fire until crispy and golden. Now rub a halved clove of garlic lightly over the toasted slice. Serve on a plate with the toasted bread and a soup plate with olive oil.
The slices are then taken, dipped in oil and enjoyed. This convivial dish is casually called „fett'unta“ - the dipped slice. Serve with a light, elegant Chianti, diced tomatoes and some chives.
