Tricolour pasta was «all the rage» in the 1980s. Elaborate jars stoppered with large corks were filled with this pasta and given as presents throughout households. Luckily, this has subsided somewhat today. The shells work very well with a filling. Before filling, they must be cooked for around six minutes.
