Description

What began as a business relationship has grown into a true friendship with Signor Serni. High quality standards are what drive Fabrizio and his son to produce only the very best oil from every harvest.

In the bottle, the oil looks a greenish colour with yellow gold accents. The oil is intense yet extremely pleasant on the nose and deliciously fruity on the palate, with notes of grass, tomato, artichoke, and even almond. Its flavour can be described as halfway between mild and intense.

Olive oil is a kitchen staple for all kinds of recipes. It can be used cold on salads or in marinades for starters or meat and fish, or used hot for braising, roasting and frying. While talking about its uses, it’s important to mention that olive oil tolerates heat (at the level required for frying, for example) extremely well.

Why not try this recipe for Tuscan-style garlic bread? Toast slices of white bread (a baguette or similar works best) over an open fire until crispy and golden. Now gently rub the toasted slices with half a clove of garlic. Serve the toasted bread on a platter along with a soup bowl filled with olive oil.
Dunk the garlic bread in the oil and enjoy! The colloquial Italian name for this sociable dish is fett’unta, meaning “oily slice”. Serve with chopped tomatoes and a few chives, accompanied by a glass of a light, elegant Chianti.
